Akademie Musiktheater heute

Ein Thema. Drei künstlerische Perspektiven. Drei szenische Miniaturen

The project ›Akademie Musiktheater heute‹ is a programme with which the Deutsche Bank Foundation fosters young talents in musical theatre. Every year, 15 fellowships are awarded to stage and costume designers, conductors, dramaturges, composers, cultural managers, librettists/writers and stage directors. The two-year programme includes regular workshops, attendance at selected productions of European opera houses and festivals, as well as the joint development of a musical theatre piece at the end of the fellowship. Since 2019, the AMH has been working with musicians from Ensemble Modern and singers from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. Together, they are developing three musical theatre works which will have their world premieres on November 26, 2021 during the ›Akademie Musiktheater heute‹ ceremony. The stream of the event ›Stresstest‹ will be available from December 22 onwards as video-on-demand on the YouTube channel of the Deutsche Bank Stiftung.
