Akademie Musiktheater heute

One Theme. Three Artistic Perspectives. Three Staged Miniatures.

The project ›Akademie Musiktheater heute‹ is a programme with which the Deutsche Bank Foundation fosters young talents in musical theatre. Every year, 15 fellowships are awarded to stage and costume designers, conductors, dramaturges, composers, cultural managers, librettists/writers and stage directors. The two-year programme includes regular workshops, attendance at selected productions of European opera houses and festivals, as well as the joint development of a musical theatre piece at the end of the fellowship. Since 2019, the AMH has been working with musicians from Ensemble Modern and singers from the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts.
