Lucerne Festival Academy

The Lucerne Festival Academy returns for its fourth guest appearance at ›Happy New Ears‹. The event presents works by the participants of the annual ›Composer Seminar‹ of the Lucerne Festival Academy, first rehearsed during the summer by the IEMA Ensemble in Lucerne and then presented by Ensemble Modern a second time as part of ›Happy New Ears‹ in Frankfurt. The upcoming concert at the Bockenheimer Depot includes works by composers from Chile, Germany, Great Britain / New Zealand, South Korea and the USA. It will be led by the Lithuanian conductor Raimonda Skabeikaitė, a graduate of the IEMA course 2023/24. The event is presented by the Ensemble Modern’s violinist Jagdish Mistry.
