›Mixed Double‹

The Sound Port Frankfurt series ›Mixed Doubles‹ features two sets of two artists sharing a stage - and spontaneously creating a unique experience combining music with painting, film, spoken word or dance. This time, Thomas Mittler (horn) and Jovita Majewski (visual artist) meet in the first part of the evening in a symbolic triptych. The various sonic dimensions of the attic space of the Haus der Deutschen Ensemble Akademie will be explored in an experimental confluence of music and painting. The second part of the evening will feature Christian Hommel (oboe) and Thomas Hammelmann (visual artist). For this evening, Hammelmann has created a large-scale, space-specific installation involving videos, within which Christian Hommel will perform and improvise. An intermedial performance about beauty and destruction.
