Final Concert

The latest Contemporary Music Workshop brings ambitious amateur musicians and members of Ensemble Modern into an intense musical exchange. In ensemble and individual rehearsals as well as coachings, the participants explore playing techniques, notions of sound and contemporary musical works over the course of several working phases. The finale is a public concert at the Deutsche Ensemble Akademie on June 14, conducted by Martin Brauß. Together, all the musicians will perform a diverse programme featuring works by Charles Ives, Kathrin A. Denner, David Fennessy, Toshi Ichiyanagi, Tom Johnson, Ennio Morricone, Salvatore Sciarrino, Ye Xiaogang and Hans Zender. The concert reflects the broad range of musical outlooks in the workshop.
