Ensemble Modern in Times of Corona

Video Statements of musicians

As an ensemble organized by musicians, Ensemble Modern’s existence requires income from concert engagements as well as public and private support. The numerous cancellations of events due to the spread of the coronavirus have affected Ensemble Modern’s finances directly. At this point, we need not only concrete, unbureaucratic and rapid support from politics, but also trust in our society’s ability to master and overcome this severe crisis.

By releasing personal video statements from their current, individual situations, Ensemble Modern’s musicians make sure that the music does not fall entirely silent over the coming weeks. The video series is supported by Crespo Foundation.
