Final Concerts of the IEMA Ensemble

From September 10 to 26, the IEMA Ensemble 2014/15 completes its Master’s Degree course in Contemporary Music with seven concerts. First of all, it presents four world premieres written as part of the Ulysses Network by the young composers Stylianos Dimou, Christiaan Richter, Sergej Maingard and František Chaloupka at the Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht. Subsequently these will be presented as German premieres at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main. The three concert programmes also feature works by Robert HP Platz, Luciano Berio, Luca Francesconi, York Höller, Orm Finnendahl and many others. At the festival ›Tangible Sounds‹ at ZKM Karlsruhe, the IEMA Ensemble will present a sound installation developed in cooperation with the Institute of Music and Acoustics (IMA), featuring a special relation between space and sound with various virtual levels.
