Prometeo with the Ensemble Modern Orchestra

»›Prometeo‹ [...] is beginning to look historical, so faultlessly do Ingo Metzmacher, the Ensemble Modern, Schola Heidelberg and the SWR Experimentalstudio conjure it up at the Kollegienkirche« wrote ›DIE ZEIT‹ after a performance of Luigi Nono’s ›Prometeo‹ in Salzburg in August 2011. Now the ›tragedy of listening‹ - once again with Ingo Metzmacher, Schola Heidelberg and André Richard – can be heard in four performances by the Ensemble Modern Orchestra at the 2015 Ruhrtriennale (September 8/11/12/13). At the Kraftzentrale Duisburg, the listener is confronted with a spatial concept by Eva Veronica Born and impressive installations – optimal conditions for perceiving the full breadth of this labyrinth of sound in which the audience is surrounded by four orchestras, instrumental and vocal soloists and a chorus.
