Frankfurt Poetry Days

At the initiative of the Frankfurt Poetry Days (Frankfurter Lyriktage), Marcel Beyer and the Ensemble Modern member Hermann Kretzschmar have developed a reading-cum-concert which premieres at the Dominikanerkloster in Frankfurt as the opening night of the Frankfurt Poetry Days on June 10 (8 pm). The writer has assembled a compendium of his own poems and poems by others that mean much to him, and this selection is paired with a broad range of music of the past 100 years. The concert will be repeated on June 12 at the Kurhaus in Wiesbaden. Two further readings by Indonesian and German poets on June 16 and 20 in Frankfurt will be complemented with chamber music contributions performed by Ensemble Modern.
