Unfortunately without a live audience, but with a virtual audience that was all the larger, our ceremony ›40 Years of Ensemble Modern‹ took place on December 9, 2020 at the Alte Oper Frankfurt, featuring the world premieres of 40 birthday gifts from 40 composers. We would like to give thanks for the many congratulatory messages that reached us from our audience, the composers as well as partners, supporters and long-time companions. For all those who missed the livestream, the video recording is available through March 9, 2021 (for three months). The Happy New Ears concert featuring Mauricio Kagel’s ›Ludwig van – Hommage à Beethoven‹, recorded on December 16, 2020, is also available through January 16, 2021 (for one month).
