In more than 20 performances, Ensemble Modern presents five productions at the Bockenheimer Depot and at Frankfurt LAB between December 3, 2016 and January 5, 2017. These include staged and multi-media productions that are new to the repertoire and have never been shown in its hometown of Frankfurt, as well as current and new musical theatre productions. The series is launched with the revival of ›Der goldene Drache‹ by Peter Eötvös, a coproduction with the Frankfurt Opera. In ›Spectacle Spaces‹ music by Mauricio Kagel and Martin Matalon meets spectacular modern circus arts. In several performances, the series ›heim.spiele‹ also pays homage to the composers Steve Reich and Hans Zender.
