Concert at Alte Oper Frankfurt

The concert series „Prisma Darmstadt“ now goes into the third round. The concert on 3 November deals with the „ensemble form“ and builds bridges between the International Kranichsteiner Kammerensemble – the first contemporary soloist-ensemble, founded in 1961 by Bruno Maderna – and the Ensemble Modern. The programme includes Maderna‘s „Serenade No. 2“ and György Ligeti‘s „Concert for Piano and Orchestra“ – performed by Ueli Wiget – and two new works by Martón Illes and Hanspeter Kyburz. To mark Emmanuel Nunes‘ recent death and to commemorate the close collaborations with the composer, the EM will also be performing his large ensemble piece „Duktus“. Jean Deroyer will be conducting the evening.
