Christine Schäfer Cancels Performance

Due to health reasons Christine Schäfer surprisingly had to withdraw from her concert with the Ensemble Modern on 8th May. We are delighted that Rachel Calloway and Kateryna Kasper have agreed to step in at very short notice and take over the solo-parts of Alban Berg‘s “Der Wein” (Rachel Colloway) and Hans Werner Henze’s “Being Beauteous” (Kateryna Kasper) at Christine Schäfer’s stead. Georg Crumb‘s “Three Early Songs” will not be performed. The programme furthermore includes Friedrich Goldmann‘s “Ensemble Concert No. 3” and Johannes Schöllhorn’s “Anamorphoses”– two pieces inspired by the work of J.S. Bach. Brad Lubman will be conducting.
