The selected composers of the ›young_professionals‹ mentoring programme are meeting the Ensemble Modern live for the very first time — after getting to know each other online via Zoom. Over three intense days in Frankfurt, they dive deep into their works together with the musicians of Ensemble Modern: 🎻 Rehearsals & musical experiments 🗣️ Feedback and one-on-one sessions 🎼 Instrument workshops with Ensemble Modern musicians 💬 Discussions, reflections and new inspirations The process is guided by composer Michael Jarrell and conductor @tobycthatcher, who — together with Ensemble Modern — support and challenge the composers in shaping and refining their pieces.
