The Aventis Foundation is a charitable foundation headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. Since its inception in 1996, the Aventis Foundation has been promoting music, art, theatre and literature. We want to support artists who cross boundaries, eliminate prejudices, create original works and seek new horizons. We select areas of emphasis, for example in the field of music.

The German Federal Cultural Foundation promotes art and culture within the scope of federal competence. The arts' radio of the „Hessischer Rundfunk“
Live concerts, audiobooks, features and radio plays – hr2-kultur makes the arts audible – all around the clock. Interviews and radio reports treat current cultural issues, background programmes on hr2-kultur explore questions of science and education as well as philosophy and religion. The musical repertoire of hr2-kultur ranges from classical to jazz, from world to avant-garde music. In addition to live broadcasts – be it from the New York MET or any Hessian opera house – concerts and recordings of the hr-Symphony Orchestra and the hr-Bigband figure prominently in the programmes of hr2-kultur.
The arts in Hessia are central to hr2-kultur, which covers the regional art and music scene in various ways. Moreover, hr2-kultur is an important host of cultural events all over Hessia: It presents concerts, readings as well as public discussions and supports a number of cultural institutions such as the Ensemble Modern.
