The Aventis Foundation is a charitable foundation headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. Since its inception in 1996, the Aventis Foundation has been promoting music, art, theatre and literature. We want to support artists who cross boundaries, eliminate prejudices, create original works and seek new horizons. We select areas of emphasis, for example in the field of music.

Deutsche Bank Stiftung
The activities of the Deutsche Bank Foundation are focused on the areas of community development, education, art and music. That means that they give priority to projects that interface with these subject areas, i.e. interconnect the educational, social and cultural aspects.
In the area of cultural sponsorship the Deutsche Bank Foundation supports young talents and aims to make outstanding performance an incentive for all. Young artists are encouraged to break new grounds and to overcome personal limits.
The concert series of the Ensemble Modern at the Alte Oper invites people to confront themselves with modern music. Combined with the Deutsche Bank Foundation’s engagement for Portikus, an exhibition hall for contemporary art, and PLATEAUX, a drama festival, the support of the Ensemble Modern makes an important contribution to the promotion of international and contemporary culture in Frankfurt am Main.

The arts' radio of the „Hessischer Rundfunk“
Live concerts, audiobooks, features and radio plays – hr2-kultur makes the arts audible – all around the clock. Interviews and radio reports treat current cultural issues, background programmes on hr2-kultur explore questions of science and education as well as philosophy and religion. The musical repertoire of hr2-kultur ranges from classical to jazz, from world to avant-garde music. In addition to live broadcasts – be it from the New York MET or any Hessian opera house – concerts and recordings of the hr-Symphony Orchestra and the hr-Bigband figure prominently in the programmes of hr2-kultur.
The arts in Hessia are central to hr2-kultur, which covers the regional art and music scene in various ways. Moreover, hr2-kultur is an important host of cultural events all over Hessia: It presents concerts, readings as well as public discussions and supports a number of cultural institutions such as the Ensemble Modern.

The Kulturfonds FrankfurtRheinMain initiates and supports art projects of national and international scope which are able to strengthen the larger visibility of the region as a centre of artistic productivity. Its main goal is to concentrate regional artistic activities and to create networks among cultural institutions and agents.

The German Federal Cultural Foundation promotes art and culture within the scope of federal competence. One of its main priorities is to support innovative programmes and projects on an international level. To achieve this, the Foundation invests in projects which develop new methods of fostering cultural heritage and tap into the cultural and artistic potential of knowledge required for addressing social issues. The Federal Cultural Foundation also focuses on cultural exchange and cross-border cooperation by initiating projects of its own and funding project proposals in all areas of the arts with no stipulations as to theme or subject.
